- Search Data: We log Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) searched on our platform to cache results and improve system performance.
- Payment Information: We do not store your credit card numbers. All payments are securely processed directly through Stripe.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Car Delta service. This includes processing transactions, generating PDF reports, and preventing fraud or abuse of our APIs.
3. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We absolutely do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, email address, or search history to third-party data brokers, marketing agencies, or dealerships.
4. Third-Party Services
To operate our service, we share necessary data with trusted third parties:
- NHTSA / EPA: We send the VIN to government APIs to retrieve vehicle specifications. No personally identifiable information (PII) is attached to these queries.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing.
- Clerk: For secure user authentication and login management.
5. Data Security & Demographics
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your account. Furthermore, Car Delta is a digital e-commerce utility. We do not collect, request, or verify sensitive background information, immigration status, or employment records from our users. All users are treated equally as digital retail customers.
